The United Kingdom Accreditation Services (UKAS) has published a case study about EffecTech on their website.
The case study looks at the importance of accreditation to EffecTech in demonstrating the company’s commitment to providing customers with the best products and services of the highest quality.
The case study also looks at EffecTech’s experience of remote assessments, which were carried out instead of face-to-face meetings, both for the awarding of our new ISO 17034 accreditation as a producer of reference materials, and for the annual surveillance visits for our existing accreditations in the UK as well as in India and Qatar. Remote assessments were required because of COVID-19 restrictions but they brought benefits to the process as well.
Our Quality Manager, Alex Allsopp commented for the case study:
“Overall I was impressed by the efficiency of the process that UKAS adopted to enable continued assessment during the COVID crisis. The assessment process retained its rigour, while allowing for a number of added efficiencies. EffecTech is not new to accreditation, however our most recent grant of accreditation to ISO 17034 as a producer of reference materials was important for our strategy of reaching new global markets for customers in various regions requiring this additional level of accreditation.”
